Brunswick launches Lynea – a rental housing company with more than 200 new homes in Stockholm and plans for expansion
Brunswick Real Estate (“Brunswick”) is launching Lynea, a company dedicated to owning and managing newly built single-family rental homes in Greater Stockholm.
A majority of Sweden’s population living in larger cities express a preference for living in a single-family home, but the Swedish housing market is significantly undersupplied. Lynea’s aim is to expand access to high-quality, modern single-family homes, addressing a significant gap between demand and supply.
Lynea’s homes are currently being developed in Greater Stockholm within garden-style neighborhoods benefiting from efficient transportation links, proximity to schools, supermarkets, nature and leisure activities. Lynea offers two-storey homes with three to four bedrooms and high-quality appliances, all built to obtain an environmental certification from Svanen.
The two inaugural projects comprise 100 homes in Sigtuna and Upplands-Bro, with the first homes to be delivered from March 2026. The projects are being developed by Blooc, an established single-family home developer within the Derome Group (“Derome”), with focus on design, community and the environment. Derome, a Swedish family-owned company, oversees the entire value chain from the forest to the finished house – with a strong emphasis on sustainability and quality at every stage of the process.
In addition to the inaugural 100 homes, Lynea and Blooc have agreed to jointly build further projects comprising a further 120 homes with gradual completions during 2026 – 2027. Supported by Brunswick, with real estate funds managed by Blackstone acting as Brunswick’s capital partner, Lynea’s ambition is to continue to build and acquire further projects strengthening its long-term role in the Swedish rental housing market.
